WELCOME HOME

An Apocalyptican Fairytale, writ and illustrated by

D POWER

The first of the Apocalyptican Fairytales, Welcome Home follows the path of Rygnir Wyndfallen, a young beast-child drawn through the world in the Midst of this world by a self-imposed doom.

Let me for you describe a world that knoweth no light
A fairytale world within the midst of this world of diminishing light, where
Reality crumbles and time is rotten, the church of the saints lie dead, forgotten
And rumors of Endwar with heathens of northern domains are filling the night:

Let me for you reveal the path of an beast-child fair,
A childe so wrong, yet forced to belong in this world that he could not bear,
Take heart, for you will not be alone - take ear, percieve the whipsers of Home
And bring them word of grandfather's death, retrieve your book and follow it there...

BOOK 1: A HALF-CHILDE LOSTED WAS

Rygnir Wyndfallen is made to leave the confining wood wherein he has, to this point, spent his entire life; with only a name and a blind will to guide him, he finds himself caught up in a monstrous rumour of transcosmic portent, of which he could well be a catalyst if not the cause...

Abused and left alone in a frigid, undead world, pretending there is any kind of hope is better than nothing, for a time.

Dread the word,the opened eyes

As Endwar looms and spreads its lies,

Despise the whispers, fate and flight

Within a world which knoweth no light -

Depart, my heart, your innocence gone

Depart the dark, mortality gone

Take ear the dragon begs you go

And so, below, the childe goed on...

BOOK 2: AND SO THE CHILDE GOED ON

A wider conflict begins to rear its head as Rygnir struggles on his way.  Existence is crumbling at the portent of what people around him are calling "Endwar" but his doom remains certain and none can help him, none can stop him.

BOOK 3: AND THE HALF-CHILDE FOUNDED WAS

The cataclysmic ending of the Welcome Home trilogy.  Rygnir's doom is realised and the those he met along the way enter upon the world-ending conflict that even nature cannot endure.

The manuscript is complete and the illustrations done: all that's left is the funds to publish!
